Grand
Valley Metro Council staff will conduct an initial screening of all applications
received. A second screening will then be conducted within two citizen
review sub-committees. These committees will review and discuss each nominee
and select award recipients to be passed onto the Metro Council for endorsement.
Entries will be judged based on (1) general criteria, (2) qualifying one or more Blueprint award categories, and (3) meeting criteria specific to the Blueprint Principles adopted by the Blueprint Committee.
General Criteria
The entry directly or indirectly reflects one or more
of the Blueprint visions including compact, livable communities;
regional centers of employment; retention of open lands and well
designed transportation and transit systems.
The entry demonstrates innovation and uniqueness.
The entry provides a model for others to follow.
The positive outcomes from the entry are continuing/sustainable.
