The Grand Valley Metropolitan Council (GVMC) is working on a regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan. The team has prepared a long list of possible TDM strategies and needs your feedback. Your voice will help shape our region's approach to transportation challenges for the next 5-10 years. Please join us!
What: TDM is a collection of strategies designed to move more people with existing transportation infrastructure and services, improve mobility options and access, and redistribute trips to alternative forms of transportation (walking, biking, or taking the bus, for example), travel times (mid-day instead of during rush hour, for example), and routes that can accommodate more trips. Regional partners are working together to advance and prioritize TDM strategies that impact travel behavior in order to mitigate severe congestion and air quality issues while supporting sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
