TIP Amendment for MDOT’s East Beltline (M-44/M-37) bridge replacement over I-96 (JN213211) as an addendum to the project amendments found in the March 18th Policy Committee Meeting Agenda

Changes included in MDOT’s attached Memo:

• Modified Point of Beginning (POB) and Point of End (POE) mile points to account for non-motorized path improvements, in coordination with city of Grand Rapids.

• The Construction Phase budget increased from $19,215,000 to $31,503,000. Construction costs increased to account for pedestrian/non-motorized path improvements, for approaches and non-motorized path on the new M-37 over I-96 structure, steel beam design, traffic/detour route improvements, higher unit prices due to inflation, extension of proposed abutments for future bridge improvements, and inclusion of federal grant funding.
