GVMC Seeking Public Comment on MTP/TIP Amendments for OCRC/MDOT Nonmotorized Project

The Ottawa County Road Commission (OCRC), on behalf of Ottawa County Parks and Recreation, has received a conditional commitment from the MDOT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) to fund a nonmotorized path in Georgetown Township. MDOT is recommending the project be split into two phases:

Phase 1: Cottonwood Drive and 10th Avenue to Golfside Dr.
Phase 2: 10th Avenue to Taylor Street to 12th Avenue

Both phases are anticipated to be completed in 2018. See map here.

These projects are not currently listed in the 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) or the FY2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Policy Committee will be taking formal action at their meeting on March 21st at 9:30 am at the Kent County Road Commission to amend the MTP and the TIP to include these projects. The public is welcome to comment on the projects at the meeting or by completing the form below. Additional details about the MTP/TIP amendment request are available here:
